Councillors in Clarington have ratified a commercial fill bylaw. Mayor Adrian Foster says the issue mainly focuses on big trucks coming to dump dirt throughout the area. Foster says the bylaw is aimed at trying to get more control over the industry. Part of the motion includes a cost for submitting an application, and a charge of a dollar per cubic metre of dirt being dumped on a large commercial site.
