Federal government doubles funding for Canada wide clinical research

The federal government has announced an additional $75 million investment into the countries clinical research sector. In conjunction with Canada’s research based pharmaceutical companies, the hope is that the $150 million total will enhance treatment and care for Canadians. Oshawa MP, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health, Colin Carrie says, this will drastically change health care across the country. Carrie adds that he hopes the new money will help push Canada to the next level of international health care.
