Oshawa MPP Jerry Ouelette applauds government clarification over tax return policy

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham, Politics, Toronto

Some extra confusion at tax time is all rate payers in Ontario need, but a flip flop from the provincial government will see a lump sum option remain viable when it comes to collecting tax credits. MPP for Oshawa Jerry Ouelette says keeping the lump sum is the best way to go forward, especially when dealing with seniors or low income earners. Ouelette adds that his office was flooded with calls and was glad the government was able to rectify any mistake that may have been made.
