Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham

Eastern expansion of GO Train service in Durham Region, is still part of long term plans at Metrolinx. That was the message from the President and CEO of Metrolinx as he spoke to the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce on Monday. Oshawa mayor John Henry says the agency is looking to build a new GO Train station close to the downtown core, and extend rail service through to Clarington, all things he says are needed right now. Henry says Metrolinx is currently in talks to purchase the old Knob Hill Farms property, in hopes of building a GO Train station on the site.
