York Regional Police release photos of man sought in sexual assault

York Police have released surveillance photos of a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault.  Investigators say the victim got on a York Region Transit Bus on Bathurst Street in Vaughan around 3 p.m. on January 24th where she was touched inappropriately by a man in the next seat.  The victim immediately stood up and went to another vacant seat.  The suspect was last seen getting off the bus at Leslie Street, south of Green Lane in Markham.  He’s described as brown skin, about 18 to 22 years old and 160 lbs.  He was wearing a brown jacket, black pants and black boots with a red stripe and was carrying a black back pack.  Click here to see photo.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Dan Fowler of the Sexual Assault Unit at 1-866-876-5423 ext 7696, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), online at www.1800222tips.com or text your tip by sending TIPYORK and your message to CRIMES (274637).
