Toronto teacher, who lives in Pickering, charged after alleged incident involving a student

A Pickering man, who’s a teacher at Winston Churchill Collegiate in Scarborough, has been charged by Durham Police with sexual exploitation after an incident involving a student.  Officials say 47 year old Ira Mark Young, befriended a student, and invited the victim to his house in October of last year.  During the visit, the accused allegedly made inappropriate sexual comments.  Police say the victim left the home immediately, and was not physically hurt.  Anyone with information is urged to call police at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 5248 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
