Man allegedly brings an axe to an attempted robbery in Oshawa


Durham Police are looking for a lone male suspect following an attempted robbery at an Oshawa convenience store. Police allege a masked man threatened the clerk with an axe, at Cubert Milk and Variety, in the Park Road and 401 area, and demanded money. The clerk managed to run upstairs and call police, trapping the suspect in the store with the emergency lock. The man smashed the glass door and fled. The suspect is described as male, white, in his early 20s, 6’ tall with a thin build. He was wearing a white shirt and blue hooded sweatshirt. Anyone with new information about this incident is asked to contact Det.
