Head of traffic services and RIDE program in Toronto suspended for alleged intoxication

Toronto Police says the head of its traffic services division and RIDE program has been suspended for alleged intoxication. The Chairman of the Police Services Board says Earl Witty was driven home from work on Friday after acting strangely on the job. The Police Professional Standards Unit is investigating the situation and will look into how he got to work in the first place. It will also investigate whether Witty was on any medication that could have affected his behaviour.
