Raitt announces new, six-month mediation process for Air Canada labour dispute

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Politics

As the contract dispute at Air Canada continues, federal Labour Minister Lisa Raitt is offering a new mediator. The minister met with representatives from both Air Canada and its pilots association, announcing a new, six-month mediation process. Earlier mediation has failed to bring the two sides together. Raitt says the government believes in free bargaining, but a work stoppage would be contrary to the interested of hard-working Canadians.
