Oshawa food shop licensing fees will be frozen in 2012

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Business, Durham, Roads

The City of Oshawa has decided to freeze the licensing fees paid by food shops in the city. Some members of council were in favour of the proposed increase from $150, to $250. CEO of the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce Bob Malcolmson says the logistics behind an increase could be justified, however not without the input of the business community. Council is looking to trim spending and increase revenue for the 2012 budget.
