Sandwich generation sacrificing to take care of their parents

If you have kids and you financially support at least one parent or in-law, there’s a good chance you’re making some huge sacrifices. A new study finds over half these people across Ontario, the so-called “sandwich generation”, expect their own retirement plans will be impacted because of the cost of supporting aging parents. According to Stats Can, the “sandwich generation” comprises 1 in 3 people aged 45 to 65. The study was co-sponsored by the not-for-profit agency credit Canada.
