OSHAWA CELEBRATES NATIONAL YOUTH WEEK

The City of Oshawa is supporting National Youth Week from April 30th to May 7th and invites all youth to visit the City’s recreation facilities. A variety of activities will be offered free of charge. The celebration will kick off with a Pizza Party for youth aged 10-17 at the South Oshawa Community Centre on Friday April 30th from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Activities will include a scavenger hunt, a massive game of manhunt and a pool party will follow from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. On Thursday May 6th, a Teen Night will be held for people between the ages of 13-18 in collaboration with Eastview Boys & Girls Club from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. This event will feature a movie, drop-in basketball and a texting contest. The week will conclude with a Youth Night at Donevan Recreation Complex from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Friday May 7th, which will have games, swimming and in-line skating and skateboarding.
