HAYWARD STEPPING DOWN AS CEO

British Petroleum has confirmed the Tony Hayward will step down as Chief Executive Officer. He’ll leave the job on October 1st, but won’t be leaving the company as they’re recommending him for a role with a Russian joint venture. American Robert Dudley will take over the helm of BP. Meanwhile, BP announced a second-quarter loss of $17 billion US.
