Police believe medical episode led to crash outside Lakeridge Health Oshawa

A crash outside the entrance to Lakeridge Health Oshawa may have been caused by a medical issue.

The single vehicle crash happened Friday around 6:15 p.m. and sent a pedestrian to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a 21-year-old woman, was taken to a Toronto hospital and is in serious, but stable condition.

Police continue to investigate.

An Ornge air ambulance landed at the nearby Oshawa airport, but in the end, did not transport anyone.
